To justify the gaming monitor, one must have a powerful CPU and graphics card to pull out that higher refresh rate performance. Moreover, gaming monitors are pretty expensive compared to the normal ones.

Normal monitors also come with the same display resolution sizes as mentioned above. Coming onto the picture quality, normal monitors surpass the gaming monitors. They provide better color adjustments and higher contrast ratios on the same display resolution size, resulting in better picture quality, that too at a reasonable price.
Talking about response time and refresh rate, the normal monitors have a refresh rate of 60hz and response time around 10ms which is perfectly alright for a normal user.
The movies we watch are of a 24 to 30hz refresh rate. Everybody must have experienced the difference in smoothness between 30hz and 60hz. In case if you haven’t, go to the YouTube website and search for a 60hz video and compare it with 30hz.
In normal usage like writing, reading, internet browsing, watching movies, etc; the user would not even notice the difference in response time.
